For three growing seasons, Just Roots has partnered with World Farmers in Lancaster, Massachusetts to grow and provide fresh, local food to families experiencing food insecurity across the Commonwealth through our healthcare partnered Farm to Family CSA program. This year, World Farmers is partnering with Just Roots to provide over 300 farm shares in Eastern Massachusetts as part of this statewide program addressing food insecurity.
World Farmers provides land and training opportunities to more than 300 immigrant and refugee farmers, supporting them in beginning and sustaining farm operations in Massachusetts. This week, their land – Flats Mentor Farm – was devastated by flooding. Many of the small farmers at Flats Mentor Farm experienced complete crop loss. These growers depend on their crops not only for their livelihood, but also to feed their families and their communities.

With flooding and other catastrophic weather events happening more and more frequently, it’s critical that our community invests in the people who feed us, and our partners at World Farmers need our help.
Right now, all donations to World Farmers go directly to the farmers impacted by flooding. Your support will provide tangible assistance to farming families and support the resilience of our local food system.
Thank you for considering a gift to World Farmers – our partners, our friends. We will continue to navigate the realities of climate change and its impacts on farming, together, and we will continue to support one another in the face of uncertainty.
In solidarity,
The Just Roots Team
