CSA COORDINATOR

Engage and support community members in Just Roots Franklin County CSA programming and distributions.

SCHEDULE: 
Part Time
Hourly position, hours will vary based on organizational need

  • (Estimated: 2 days (16 hours) per week: November-April and 3 days (up to 24 hours) per week May-October including Saturdays)

Primarily in person in Greenfield
Reports to: Program Manager and Farm Manager

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS: 
Pay Rate (hourly): $25/hour
Retirement that includes 3% guaranteed contribution by Just Roots
Just Roots Farm Share 
Paid time off (sick and accrued PTO)

CSA ENROLLMENT

  • Support the marketing of the Franklin County CSA via the website, social media, flyering, etc. 
  • Field questions and provide support for enrollment process (i.e. manage enrollments over the phone, activate online enrollments on salesforce, etc)

CSA COORDINATION & MEMBER CARE

  • Staff CSA distributions three times per week June through October, and twice per month November through May 
  • Field questions and provide support in person, by email, and phone regarding CSA pickups/deliveries and payments 
  • Support the Program Manager in CSA payment invoicing and documentation including collecting SNAP paperwork and processing payment reports from the DTA
  • Assist the Program Manager in creating and processing pickup attendance sheet and updating payments before and after each distro 
  • Provide regular text communications to CSA members (i.e. pickup reminders & general announcements) 
  • Develop engaging educational print and digital materials such as the seasonal Vegetable Guides, website recipe database 
  • Coordinate CSA member experience including managing volunteers to run activities  

CSA EVALUATION

  • Support the Program Manager in tracking outreach and program participation for evaluation and grant reporting 
  • Participate in and help lead regular CSA team meetings

TEAMWORK

  • Support additional programming and community engagement as directed by the Program Manager 
  • Support the success of two annual signature Just Roots events 
  • Actively participate in staff trainings, events and team meetings to build an inclusive and joyful culture amongst the Just Roots team and community

Community Engagement & Service

  • Inclusive Communication: A compassionate and versatile communicator capable of building rapport with a diverse community of members across all ages, cultures, and backgrounds.
  • Service-Oriented Mindset: Strong background in customer service with a commitment to providing a welcoming, high-quality experience for all program participants.
  • Food Systems Literacy: Working knowledge of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) models, experience or interest in food justice work, and a passion for seasonal, local produce.

Technical Proficiency

  • Data & Systems Management:
    • Proficient in (or a strong willingness to learn) digital tools and POS platforms, such as Google Sheets, Square, Salesforce, and TotilPay. 
    • Proficient in (or a strong willingness to learn) social media, text, website, and email communication platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Simpletexting, WordPress, and Mailchimp.
  • Digital Literacy: Ability to manage accurate data collection and reporting.

Multilingual candidates—particularly those proficient in Spanish, Moldovan/Romanian, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole—are strongly encouraged to apply.
