Want to learn how to dye natural fibers with plants? Here's your chance! Join Just Roots and Jenine Shereos in making botanical bundles. All materials provided. Registration required.

In this workshop we'll learn about the history and process of making mead (AKA honey wine). We'll walk step by step through the process together and learn about different recipes and flavorings. Each participant will take home the ingredients and equipment to make a small batch of mead.

Join us for a walk around Just Roots Farm identifying our bioregionally abundant medicinal herbs that come into season in the fall. We'll learn identification, medicinal uses, harvesting techniques, medicinal preparations and more. Participants will be given time to do some foraging of their own and we'll end our walk by sharing some medicinal wild food dishes Jade will prepare ahead of time to share. Recipes will be shared!

Come learn how to track & support the menstrual cycle with a trained fertility awareness educator and full spectrum doula! We’ll cover the basics of anatomy, hormones, methods of tracking, and holistic cycle support. Class will close with an open conversation among all participants. Trans affirming, open to all bodies and ages!

We will learn about a non-native, aggressive, and abundant vine growing around us -- Asiatic Bittersweet (Celastrus orbiculatus) -- and what abundant gifts for weaving these vines offer us! We will learn a way to green-weave a simple bittersweet basket, from harvest to finish, and practice awakening our hands to this age-old craft present in cultures around the world and across time.

Join Matt Kaminsky of Gnarly Pippins and Just Roots as we deep dive into the pomological world! This workshop will feature an apple local taste test, apple growing tips & tricks, apple recipes, and making apple cider vinegar from scraps

Sunday October 20th 1-4 pm( rain date is Nov 3rd)
$25-$75/per child sliding scale, discount available if 3 or more sign up. If grown up is staying and participating, then also pay for grown up so we have enough supplies
