Join Jade Alicandro of Milk & Honey Herbs & Just Roots Farm as we embark on a foraging and fermenting journey- we’re making Fall Roots Kimchi! Come prepared to get your hands dirty– we’ll be digging up fall roots and mixing scrumptious kimchi!
What to expect:
- we’ll take some time to improve our understanding of sustainable wildcrafting
- we’ll visit with and identify plant allies like burdock & dandelion
- we’ll sustainably harvest & process medicinal roots
- we’ll discuss the biological happenings & digestive benefits of fermented foods
- we’ll sit down with freshly harvested roots & farm veggies and make some delicious fall roots kimchi together.
What to bring:
- 16 oz glass jar with a lid to take home your kimchi
- garden trowel if you have one!
- wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting dirty
- close-toed shoes (preferably boots)
- bring water or snacks if you’d like!
