  • Downtown at CSA and Feastival pickups: put on a mask before entering the tent and keep it on until you leave the tent
  • Outside on the farm at Just Roots: keep a mask with you and put it on if you are within 6 feet of another person unless

EVENTS/SEEDLING SALE
Yes! We are open for individual and group visits. Please reach out to Community Engagement Coordinator Kyana Ferro at kyana@justroots.org to arrange a visit and for guidelines on group size. The farm is a public space and we welcome you to visit and walk around the fields. Please observe all safety and Covid-19 protocols while on the land and check our website frequently for updates.
COMMUNITY GARDEN

Goals:

  • Keep the Community Garden open as a resource.
  • Put guidelines in place to ensure safety among gardeners, staff, and the public.
  • Communicate clearly with members and the public.

Actions:

  • The tool shed is open for sharing, but note that we are not disinfecting tools–please do so yourself if you wish. Sanitizing wipes will be provided.
  • A hand sanitizing dispenser is located on the garden shed for use as needed.
  • When in the garden, please keep a mask with you and wear it when you are within 6ft of another gardener, unless:
    • you have mutually agreed to be maskless around that person
    • you are walking past without lingering
  • If sick, exhibiting any symptoms or you believe you have been in contact or exposed to Covid-19, please do not visit the farm or garden until you are well.
  • Community organizations should adhere to all Just Roots safety protocols when visiting the farm.

Communication/Timeline:

  • JR will communicate with gardeners to keep people informed and reminded of new safety protocols, addressing any changes that need to be made.
  • Communications will be made through the email newsletter and through signage at the garden.
  • We will revisit these guidelines and continue to update as needed.
FEASTIVALS

Our final spring Feastival was on May 26. Keep your eyes open for future details on the Feastival program!
