Just Roots is committed to building confidence in your ability to grow & preserve food and to increasing resilience in your life through educational experiences centered around agriculture. Our educational programming is designed to offer something for everyone and to meet the needs of all ages, interests and experience levels.
CSA – Community Supported Agriculture Farm Shares – Just Roots started the Supported Farm Share program in 2013, introducing shares for every budget, made possible by pairing community sponsored dollars with member dollars to bring the overall cost down for members have limited economic means. We believe everyone deserves access to farm fresh food and our transformative CSA program is designed to build healthy eating habits over the course of the 24 week season, building health equity and community connection for all people. Community Workshops offer affordable educational opportunities on a variety of topics. Some of our favorites include seed saving, fermentation, bird walks, nature walks, canning, intro to bees, transplanting and more. We host one workshop a month spring – fall. Fees: sliding scale but $10 per person covers our costs. Bonus — Did you know that if you are a CSA member, you can attend for free? We will announce our Community Workshop series in the spring. Local Food Clinic will provide a free, monthly drop-in opportunity focused on connecting residents of Franklin County with local food and health resources aimed at addressing food insecurity.
