We’ll head into the forest edge to harvest asiatic bittersweet vines\, then transform them into simple woven baskets using a traditional green-weave technique. We will also learn a bit about the history of how asiatic bittersweet got here\, and consider our current context and stewardship responsibilities relating to this bigger picture. Bring gloves for hand protection while processing vines\, pants or something to cover legs/arms can be helpful as wrestling with vines can be a little scratchy. Wompy weaving is a low-pressure\, beginner-friendly practice!
