The Food Justice Bike Ride – June 24th, 2018 (Rain or Shine)!
Just Roots is so excited about this NEW event to help the fight to end hunger in our community.
About the event: Food Justice Bike Ride, Inc. is a new entity created and launched by Roark Herron in March 2018. The primary objective is to fight hunger and assist with funding those organizations that best deliver nutritious food directly to those most in need. They expect to best execute this mission by organizing and managing bike rides (under the Food Justice Bike Club) aimed at all levels of ability, by raising funds through entry and sponsor fees, registrant fundraising, donations, and raffles. They hope to play an important role in contributing to the overall nutritional well-being in our community. In other words, “Food Justice” for all.
Just Roots was excited to be asked to host the start and finish of the Food Justice Bike Ride at the Greenfield Community Farm! We hope you will come out and join this important initiative. Come ride, volunteer or just join as a spectator. No matter how you wish to get involved we hope you will join us on June 24th (rain or shine).
