Learn some basic canning, fermenting and food preservation techniques

Too many tomatoes? Cabbage? Cucumbers? We will explore the many ways that you can put food away for the winter! When overwhelmed by summer’s bounty it’s fun and easy to find simple ways to save food for the whole winter! In this class we will teach you some basic canning, fermenting and food preservation techniques so you can have summer in your home all year! We will also talk about the nutritional benefits of having these foods in your diet and smart ways to keep things diverse in the kitchen even in the cold months. Samples and recipes will be provided to take home and continue practicing!
