We’ve begun harvesting lettuce, arugula, zucchini, and kale. Soon we’ll have cucumbers, collards, basil, cilantro, and more lettuce! We’ve made food donations the Let All Eat Cafe in Greenfield, and the Center for Self Reliance. Thank you to all who have helped thus far, we truly could not be doing this without you!
What better, more patriotic way is there to spend a couple of hours on the 4th of July than to cultivate some food for people who need it? As always, there’s lots of work to do out at the garden this week - we can use all the help we can get, so bring a friend or a family member with you if you can! Many hands make light work. We’ll be weeding, mulching and staking tomatoes tomorrow, please join us anytime from 4-7pm on Wednesday July 4. Bring work gloves if you have them, we’ll have some extra pairs available.
An important announcement - we will no longer have open volunteer hours on Sunday from 9-12. We will keep you posted about future work parties on the weekends.
